Start with your heaviest load, because a forklift’s rated capacity is not fixed. Capacity drops as you lift higher and as the load’s center moves farther from the forks. This is called derating. A truck rated 5,000 lb at a 24-inch load center may carry much less at 36 inches or at full height. Give us the heaviest load, its size and the highest point you need to reach. We will spec the truck against the derated figure, not the headline one.

Electric is almost always the right choice for indoor work. It has no emissions, runs quieter and costs less to run. Modern lithium batteries also remove most of the charging limits that used to favor LP. Internal combustion still wins outdoors, on rough ground or in heavy nonstop duty. If your work is mixed indoor and outdoor, that is worth talking through with us.

Yes, we take trade-ins. We will look at what you are running and make an offer against the replacement truck. Once you count the time involved, that usually beats selling it yourself.
